Special: Best Riders of all Time

I fear you are right. With the changing calendar over the years I fear scraping would also be error-prone.

Maybe we can just skip that part and only give all points. Except for hilling this usually is above 80% anyhow right?

I fear the compiling of results in category component; feels like it would be a lot of work. Is the intention to scrape everything?

Good set-up! It sounds pretty manageable as well.
I might want to argue for a Best Tour Rider to be added as well, and for FR Rider to be removed (because it is way too hard to check the history of that when it's only a very recent Awards category).
The rest of it all I completely agree on.

I would suggest to do the following categories only  for this special:

Best Hiller
Best Sprinter
Best Climber
Best Downhiller
Best Cobbler
Best Time Trialist
Best FR Rider
Best Tour Rider

Step 1)
Two managers shortlist 10 riders for a category. Overlapping names are in, the others are discussed in a thread here. Other managers can still add names if they want to at this point. '

We format riders like this:

Example hilling:
- normal races or tour stages where HL is higher than DH, CB, TQ and TT, HL is higher or equal to CL, and FR and/or SP aren't 2+ higher than HL
- No GC results, except for Edmonton, Coppa della Famiglia del Don, Essex or Cymru GC if the rider has a HL>80
- Only mention WINS of hillclassics and hilltours explicitely
- Just mention OCM tour points, do not bother counting all points in category!

Googleforms for the community to select a top3 in each category from our shortlist. No.1 = 3pts, No.2 = 2pts, No. 3= 1pt.

The two riders with most points in step 3 survive to the final round.
Second round of voting by the community in a 1 vs 1 by the most chosen riders.

Silenzio came up with a great idea, which is to hold a special 'Greatest riders of all time' Awards throughout next season, and to have the final vote at the start of S60, to celebrate the 60th season of OCM.
I think the idea is to have a 'Best Climber', 'Best Sprinter', and all the other individual categories (correct me if I'm wrong Silenzio).
We would organize some sort of voting structure to have the community involved in narrowing down the nominees as well, somewhere around day 45 of S59.
Anyone who would like to help organise that, and/or has ideas on how to do it can say so here!
