The Points do not show if a sprinter is worthy, because they do not reflect GC results. They actually give a very wrong impression because some tours allow riders to score more than others, especially Nederlandse. Stage wins count for Best Sprinter, so they are not useless to them. But they do not make them (or any of the others) good Tour riders.
Winning Essex two times is for sure good enough to make it. And the same goes for a 1-2 in Germany Tour. So those are great replacements indeed.

I mean, the two rider that were next on the list were the winner of Essex Tour two seasons in a row and the guy who won GT one season and second the next season. Do you want me to remove the two sprinters and add them? Also, from next season if it is reintroduced for every season, can the point in category be added? That way you’d know if a sprinter is worthy or not if they have enough points compared to the rest

Choprov definitely fits the Sprinter that did well enough and won 2 GC's criteria.
Meia and Childers do not belong here at all though. That's just SC's and stages.

It might be good to make it annual again indeed. I'll make a poll for that on the voting form.

With more cups introduced I think we need to have this award each season now...

Okey dokey, that's my top 8, checked every tour and cup for the last two seasons, selected the top 3 in GC and SC and selected and narrowed the field from there.
