What about Groningen Prologue?

It is a tour stage and SP is the highest stat (equal with TT).

It depends on how you interpret this rule:
- normal races or tour stages where SP is the same or bigger as all skills

Agree with the switch, would still vote Traore above Batzorig.

Kind of expected this opposition, can live with swopping for Traoré, as I will do now.

Others to consider instead of Batzorig for the vote: Gottfried Schuhmacher (1 win Helsinki GP, quite some points), Clyde Pugh (Copa-winner), Eloy Soria (SC Germany), Mart Diepstraten (GC Nederlandse) but all of them did few besides the big fish they catched.

De Meyer always wins those races though, so I am not sure the competition argument is that fair here. Of course it also shows how good he is, but you can hardly say he's racing TF competition. Div2/3 TF competition is still as strong as Div1 regular competition.
I think the tour SCs are as competitive as the races de Meyer won, but it is hard to make the comparison.
However, Troaré is definitely less good as Brasil, no wins in big races, half of his results outside top division, comparable points. So I agree De Mayer should be in, it's Traoré that should be out.

Guess its about how you weigh topdivision. To me it seems you prove there if you are the best sprinter or not. Now, most wins of Brasil are from lower division-tourstages in which the competition is relatively low. 6 wins by De Mayer in top division dispersed over the season to me is much more evidence of being the best.

Don't get me wrong, I'm very impressed by Douglas too and its amazing how Jime has done this with him.

He will probably win the vote though and the community can decide.

Yep, I agree, even though De Mayer wins a lot in Div1, the amount of big wins Brasil got is way too impressive not to have him in the top-3. Troaré and De Mayer is much more of a discussion to me, either of those could be straight in or up for vote.

I don't see why Brasil would not make the cut right away. For me, with 13 wins, he is the #1 actually.

I would put Mayer in the vote instead.

Logoloos is right that there is no win in div2 by the way. The current numbers also dont add up.

Assuming the information is (mostly) correct, I vote Brasil over Batzorig.

I just looked at Douglas Brasil for best rider outside top division, didnt see a result in div 2. Still a very impressive season
